LGUSL is proud to host a variety of tournaments each year.

Pride of Los Gatos 2007

The annual Pride of Los Gatos Recreational Tournament was held on the weekend of November 10-11th.  This year the tournament was dedicated to the memory of Larry Puppo, coach of the GU12 Devil Rays.  Larry was suddenly taken from us just before the tournament after a very short battle with an aggressive cancer.  Knowing of Larry's love for the game and kids who played, his team played on and gave it their all.

All the teams played with a lot of heart, and the players can hardly wait until next year.  Although every team played well enough to win the tournament, top honors went to the following teams:

GU14:
1^st place: The ThunderCats  (Mark Hellmer)
2^nd place: The Lightning Cats (Steve Nguyen)
3^rd place: The Speedy Cats (Duncan Eng)
(no 4^th team)

GU12:
1^st place: The Penguins (Anthony Gioeli)
2^nd place: The Sharks (Mark Leonard)
3^rd place: The Devil Rays (Larry Puppo)
(4^th place): The Seastars (Jim Robinson)

BU14:
1^st place: The Challengers (Leon Baranovsky)
2^nd place: The Crush (Dave Van Brunt)
3^rd place: The Blasters (Richard Moss)
(4^th place):The Chargers (Ali Moayedian)

 BU12:
1^st place: The Panthers (Bruce Prothro)
2^nd place: The Bulls (Ken Huesby/Tyler Williams)
3^rd place: The Falcons (Tim Blackwell)
(4^th place): The Bobcats (Mike Sprintz)
